Felicia Steger, PhD, RD
My vision for KSAND is to empower Kansas dietitians through advocacy, education, and collaboration so that we remain leaders in advancing nutrition science and practice. I aim to:
1. Amplify the Voice of Kansas Dietitians. Ensure our members’ perspectives are represented in national conversations on policy, practice standards, and emerging issues through active engagement with the Academy’s House of Delegates.
2. Promote Evidence-Based Practice and Innovation. Support continuing education and professional development opportunities that integrate cutting-edge research with practical applications, including telehealth, meal timing strategies, and chronic disease prevention.
3. Strengthen Member Engagement and Inclusion. Foster a culture of collaboration and diversity within KSAND by creating opportunities for networking, mentorship, and leadership development for dietitians at all career stages.
4. Advance Public Health and Community Impact. Advocate for policies and programs that improve access to nutrition services across Kansas, particularly for underserved and rural populations.
By focusing on advocacy, education, and equity, KSAND can continue to lead in shaping the future of dietetics and improving health outcomes statewide.
